Cooking Up Hope
The Recipe for Success Starts Here...
At Homesteads for Hope, our Community Farm Experience has doubled its impact this year - all thanks to people like YOU! Thanks to your generous support, the Farm has served more people than ever, especially our Teaching Kitchen. They say the “Kitchen is the heart of the home”, and we have been cooking up HOPE every day – bringing all aspects of our farm to the tables of the people we serve. We are growing the skills and confidence they need to become independent in everyday life!
The Kitchen is where Dustin, who has celiac disease, feels empowered: “I like cooking in the Kitchen and learning to cook gluten-free cookies.” For Kristina, it’s the sense of community that she desires most: “I like seeing everyone while cooking,” and enjoying a laugh. Kyrie has found confidence in both the Kitchen and the Farm Store while learning to make specialty coffees in the Café, bringing an even BIGGER smile to those around her. The proof is in the pudding!
The connection between our fields and our kitchen is at the heart of our mission. With farm-to-table programs, our apprentices learn to grow their food and create healthy meals for themselves and OUR community. Tyler, who’s learned to make fresh salads and sandwiches for our Farm Store, uses the ingredients he grows at the farm. Kate & Jacob are mastering cooking with fresh veggies, and love making cauliflower and mashed sweet potatoes! Farm to Table, Not Box to Table!
Homesteads for Hope and the Teaching Kitchen is our recipe for continued success…
Your support makes all of this possible. With your help, we can continue expanding our Teaching Kitchen and Farm programs, empowering individuals to find purpose and community through meaningful work and shared meals. Imagine the future we can build together - a place where people of all abilities find joy, belonging, and the opportunity to grow.
As you consider your year-end giving, we ask you to support the work we’re doing to make these transformative experiences accessible to all. Thank you for believing in the power of community inclusion.
We look forward to a new year full of growth, gratitude, and YES- chocolate chip cookies!
